Our Story

Hi, I'm Lea—the artist behind PolkaDots & Arrows, a stationery brand inspired by life's meaningful moments.After my daughter was born with HIE (Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy), I made the decision to leave my corporate career and become a full-time caregiver.

Between medical appointments, therapies, naps, and late nights, I rediscovered my lifelong love for art and began designing greeting cards from our home.What started as a creative outlet soon became something more.

In 2017, one of my baby card designs was selected through Minted's partnership with Target and sold in more than 500 stores nationwide. Since then, my work has also appeared in Target, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Marshalls, and through licensing partnerships with other brands.

Those experiences gave me the confidence to build a brand that reflects what matters most to me. Polkadots & Arrows was created from my love of paper, thoughtful design, and meaningful connection.

The name is inspired by my daughter—Polkadots represents beauty, and Arrows represents strength. Together, they remind me that even the smallest gestures can carry the greatest meaning.

Every card is thoughtfully illustrated and hand-lettered with the hope of helping people celebrate, encourage, comfort, and stay connected—one handwritten note at a time.
