I’m Lea—a creative, and a mom to two wonderful kids. I was born and raised in the Philippines but we call Hawaii our home now.
In 2015, a year after our daughter was born with HIE (Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy), life changed in ways I never imagined. I made the decision to step away from my corporate job and become a full-time stay-at-home mom. With her complex medical needs, my days quickly filled with appointments and therapies. I wanted to be present for all of it, the hard moments, the small victories.
Somewhere between naps and long nights, I found my way back to art. What started as a creative outlet slowly became something more. I began designing greeting cards, pouring pieces of my story into each one. I opened an Etsy shop, submitted designs to challenges, and kept creating—one card at a time.
Some of my work has been and are currently licensed by Minted.com and featured in stores like Target, TJMaxx, Marshalls, and Homegoods. These opportunities inspired me to launch my own card line—to create more, reach further, and bring Polkadots & Arrows to shelves everywhere.
Polkadots & Arrows was born from a deep love for paper, storytelling, and the desire to be present in both the big and small moments of life. The name also was inspired by my daughter, Polkadots for beauty and Arrows for strength. She is one mighty fighter wrapped in chubby cheeks and beautiful smile.
